No Drain/Filter Strip
If it works for the field there is no reason to even have a drain if the velocity of the drain water can be controlled. Planting to the end of the field and using the field end as a drain whenever possible is an excellent BMP. Bermuda grass fields are a natural for this method of reducing soil erosion.
